The Importance of Data Governance: From Chaos to Order

Is your data accurate, reliable, and secure? This session will share best practices for developing a Data Governance program for your institution. From board level considerations, to practical considerations for development of policy and procedures, experts from two different size and structured FCS entities will share commonalities as well as differences that influence their approaches as they begin to build effective risk management programs for this critical area.

Learner Outcomes:

  1. Attendees will gain insight into current trends and emerging issues in the area of Data Governance.
  2. Attendees will learn considerations for appropriate controls to ensure completeness, accuracy, and security of data.
  3. Attendees will hear governance best practices, and practical approaches to maturing the Data Governance function.
