Transformation in Internal Audit continues to accelerate. Will your Audit Committee be ready to meet new requirements in 2025? This session will highlight important changes that will directly impact your role in the board room. Content will include an overview of the new Institution of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global Internal Audit Standards focusing on key governance considerations and requirements for Audit Committees, as well as Generative AI in Internal Audit, and governance elements of the new FCA Cybersecurity regulations.

Learner Outcomes:

  1. Attendees will learn about the Institute of Internal Auditors’ (IIA) new Global Internal Audit Standards (effective 1/9/2025) and see tools and strategies for mapping compliance from prior standards to new requirements. Specific emphasis will be on enhanced board level expectations in the new guidance.
  2. Attendees will learn how Generative AI is being used in Internal Audit, future capabilities, risks, and sound controls.
  3. Attendees will understand the board’s oversight role related to the new FCA Cybersecurity regulations (effective 1/1/25.)
