Wall Street to Main Street: The Funding Corporation & Current Issues

This session will provide the participants with information on the products, markets, processes, and management disciplines used to fund the Farm Credit System; a Government Sponsored Enterprise ("GSE") with over $500 billion in assets. The discussion will include an overview of the GSE debt market, demand for Farm Credit securities, investor perspectives, and asset-liability management.

Learner Outcomes:

  1. Participants will be broadly exposed to the GSE debt market, its products, process, and pricing.
  2. Participants will be provided a perspective on the demand landscape for Farm Credit securities.
  3. Participants will be exposed to the discipline of asset-liability management and the working relationship between the Funding Corporation and System Banks.
