Biography

Andrew Geil has been a Principal Security Analyst at Compeer Financial since 2016. His duties currently focus on investigations, penetration testing, security assessments, and policy development. Andrew has over twenty years of experience in the fields of security, law enforcement, and intelligence. Prior to coming to Compeer, Andrew served as a Terrorism Research Specialist for a law enforcement agency. Andrew has a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, and master’s degrees in Criminal Justice and Information Technology. His previous research has focused on farm cyber security and agricultural security. Andrew’s work has been published in the Journal of International Food and Agribusiness Management. Andrew holds numerous security certifications and is a SANS NetWars champion. Andrew currently resides in Illinois with his wife, and four children. When not fighting cyber crime, Andrew enjoys cycling, supporting local trail systems, tinkering with technology, and working his family’s homestead.
