Biography

Ian McGonigal is the EVP – Chief Regional Sales and Marketing Officer for GreenStone Farm Credit Services and is based out of their corporate headquarters in East Lansing, Michigan.

Ian was born and raised in Englehart, Ontario, Canada. He grew up on a cow-calf beef farm. In 1998, Ian graduated from the University of Guelph, with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree, majoring in Agricultural Business. In June, 2007 Ian also completed the Graduate School of Banking program at Louisiana State University. Ian began his career with the Toronto Dominion Bank in 1998, working as an Agricultural loan officer in Wingham, Ontario. In 2000, Ian began working for GreenStone FCS, as a Financial Services Officer in Lapeer, Michigan. In 2007, Ian transferred to the Grand Rapids, Michigan branch and continued as a Sr. Financial Services officer there until 2012, at which time he took the role of Regional Vice President for GreenStone’s West Region. In October, 2014 Ian took on the role of Sr. Vice President - Regional Sales, for GreenStone. In March, 2021, Ian was promoted to his current role of EVP-Chief Regional Sales and Marketing Officer, and joined GreenStone’s Executive Team.

Ian is married to his wife Julie. They have one son (Aidan - 16 years) and one daughter (Reese - 13 years). Ian and his family currently live in the East Lansing, Michigan area. His hobbies include traveling, playing sports, hauling kids to sporting events, and spending time at the cottage with family and friends.
