Session Description

The Art of Prioritization: Systems for Personal Workload and Workflow Management

Tuesday, June 23, 2026

3:15 p.m. to 4:30 p.m

In an environment where everything feels like a priority, the difference between "busy" and "effective" lies in your system. This session moves beyond basic to-do lists to explore the tactical frameworks high-performing leaders use to audit their capacity and reclaim their calendars. Using "in-the-trenches" examples from within the Farm Credit System, we will look at how to filter focus, manage daily intake, and protect time for high-value mission work.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  1. Identify High-Payoff Activities: Utilize a filtering framework to categorize tasks and identify what should be delegated, deferred, or dropped.
  2. Time-Blocking for Deep Work: Learn daily and weekly planning processes that prioritize strategic thinking over reactive firefighting.
  3. Build a Resilient Workflow: Leverage the Eisenhower Matrix to manage the daily influx of tasks and reduce decision fatigue.
