Session Description

Cooperative Identity in Action: Making the Invisible Visible to Members

Thursday, June 25, 2026

8:00 a.m. to 9:15 a.m

What does it truly mean to be a cooperative in today's marketplace? While our cooperative identity is our greatest strength, it is often an "invisible" benefit to our members. This session brings together a diverse panel of leaders from across the Farm Credit System to discuss how we can transition the cooperative model from an abstract concept into a tangible mission advantage. Through the distinct lenses of Association leadership, System-wide strategy, and the Employee experience, attendees will explore practical ways to showcase our value proposition.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  1. Translate Identity into Value: Identify at least three specific ways the cooperative model provides a competitive advantage.
  2. Align the Employee Experience: Understand how to empower staff to live the cooperative mission, turning internal culture into an external "mission advantage."
  3. Apply Multi-Lens Strategies: Gain actionable insights from Association, System, and Employee perspectives.
