Brett has more than 20 years of experience in consulting services. His primary focus is on IT governance, business and IT internal audits, business process improvement, security and privacy maturity assessments, third-party management, integrated compliance and other internal control assessments. Brett is highly skilled in data analytics, business and IT control evaluations and other aspects of managing and improving business and IT operations, security and performance. He regularly assists clients with improving controls and processes, identifying and addressing risks and aligning processes to overall organizational strategy.
Brett is proficient at leading IT audits and risk assessments, operational and security audits and enterprise risk compliance engagements, and is deeply familiar with NIST and other security frameworks. Recognized for his insight and experience, Brett regularly presents on governance, compliance, technology and security-related topics.
He also served for two years as a lecturer at the University of Texas at Austin, teaching accounting students the key aspects of accounting information systems and issues revolving around the integration of business processes and systems.
