Biography

As GreenStone Farm Credit Services’ chief credit officer, Paul Anderson is responsible for maintaining sound lending operations including underwriting, approvals, credit policies and procedures, and credit administration. He provides leadership and communications for the association’s credit direction, lending philosophy, and risk management. He also develops and assists in conducting credit education and training in addition to coordinating the association’s response to internal and external audits of the credit underwriting process.

Paul has more than 40 years of experience with the Farm Credit System. He started his career as a loan officer with Farm Credit Services of Appleton Wisconsin in 1983, moving on to serve as director of internal audit, director - special credit and senior credit officer for the association. In 1992 he accepted a position with AgriBank, FCB of St. Paul MN overseeing their high-risk loan portfolio in Wisconsin. Paul joined GreenStone FCS in 2004 heading up the risk asset department. He has served his current role as executive vice president and chief credit officer since November 2009.

Paul is a past member of the Chicago Federal Reserve Economic Advisory Committee, and board member at the Michigan Strategic Fund (MSF) appointed by Gov. Rick Snyder. He continues to serve on various Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development Grant Committees and serves as the managing member of the family farm located in Northeast Wisconsin that was homesteaded in 1853.
