Conference Welcome and Opening Keynote
Rachel Angress leads the Legal, Governance and Compliance teams for American AgCredit. She has been an attorney for nearly 30 years. She spent majority of the 18 years prior to joining American AgCredit in private practice with a law firm representing many local financial institutions, including American AgCredit. She was the first woman elected to shareholder status at that firm and declined that offer in order to join American AgCredit in 2012, a decision she has never regretted.
Rachel holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration-Human Resources from CSU Sacramento, as well as a Juris Doctorate degree from UC Hastings College of Law (now UC Law San Francisco). She lives in Healdsburg, California (approximately 15 miles from the Association’s Santa Rosa office) with her husband, Ben and three dogs, two Frenchies (LuLu and Mimi) and one Pittie mix (Kuna). Rachel has two daughters Mia (19) who is in her second year at San Jose State University, and Lauren (24), who recently married and lives nearby with her husband, Max and Rachel’s grand-dog, Scout. Rachel enjoys Spartan OCR training and racing, hiking, wine tasting, travel and spending time with her family.
