Shannon is the VP of Enterprise Risk Management for Compeer Financial and leads a team responsible for modernizing Enterprise Risk Management capabilities, GRC software rollout and adoption, loan portfolio management and stress testing, and model risk management. Over a career spanning more than 25 years in the Farm Credit System, which began as a loan officer in Northern Illinois, he has experience leading various functional areas including marketing, large agribusiness lending, credit and credit policy, trade credit, leasing, investments, scorecard lending, and merger integration.
Shannon holds a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois, a master's degree in Agricultural Economics from Purdue University, and an MBA from Indiana University. He resides in Normal, IL with his wife and three daughters.
