Biography

Barbara Stille is chief administrative officer and general counsel at AgriBank with responsibilities for Legal, Government Affairs, Human Resources and Corporate Services functions. She also serves as corporate secretary. Stille joined AgriBank as senior vice president and general counsel in 2014. She has extensive expertise as an attorney and executive business leader, including in-depth experience in Farm Credit System cooperative governance and regulatory compliance. Prior to joining AgriBank, Stille was executive vice president-operations and general counsel for 1st Farm Credit Services, Normal, Illinois. She held that role in 2014 after having served as senior vice president-general counsel of the AgriBank District Association from 2006 to 2013. Earlier, she was assistant general counsel and assistant secretary of the Bloomington-based Illinois Agricultural Association and Affiliated Companies, where she held several attorney positions from 1997 to 2006. She was engaged in private law practice for several years prior to 1997. Stille holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Saint Louis University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a Business Certificate from Saint Louis University. In 2013, she graduated from the ABA Stonier Graduate School of Banking, held at the University of Pennsylvania, and earned the Wharton Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She holds the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation.
