Al Bierstedt is a graduate of Iowa State University with a B.S. in Ag Business and currently serves as VP of Ag Lending for Compeer Financial. Being a part of the Farm Credit System for 36 years, he spent his first ten years as a loan officer in SW MN and currently leads a team of 12 Financial Officers across Southern Minnesota. Working with the Financial Officers to provide unique value to clients, assisting them in executing their weekly plans, and working closely with other Ag Lending VP’s across Compeer provides him with energy and motivation for success. Outside of Compeer, Al operates a small row crop operation in northern Iowa, enjoys hunting and fishing, and spends as much time as he can with his three grandkids.
