Biography

Nathan Meiser is currently an Ag Lending Manager for Horizon Farm Credit (formerly AgChoice Farm Credit) at our Reedsville, PA office (approx. 30 mins. South of Penn State). Nathan started in this position during Summer 2021. He manages a small team of lending/sales professionals and manage a small portfolio.

Nathan as worked as an Ag Loan Officer for AgChoice Farm Credit from 2017 to 2021. Focused primarily on 2 PA Counties: Juniata Co. and Perry Co. Primary Industries: Forest Products, Poultry and Dairy. Specialized in real estate (timberland and farmland) financing. He was also a Forest Products Loan Officer and Forester for AgChoice Farm Credit from Fall 2008 to Summer 2017. Specialized in Forest Products financing (sawmill, logging and timberland) in Central and Northern PA. Nathan started his Farm Credit career with no lending background/experience. He knew “Trees” and “Sales/Marketing”.

Nathan started his professional career as a Private Consulting Forester (timber sales, inspections, security, etc.) from Dec. 1999 to Summer 2008. He attended The Pennsylvania State University – B.S. in Forest Science and Marketing. Nathan grew up around the forest products industry – Grandfather and Father owned sawmills. Currently, he lives in Mifflintown, PA with his wife Shana. They enjoy almost any sporting event (especially Penn State Football and Wrestling), spending time with their nephews and niece and going to flea markets.
