Capital Farm Credit
I am a Regional Chief Appraiser with Capital Farm Credit, ACA, the largest rural lending cooperative in Texas. I appraise farms, ranches, recreational properties, and agribusinesses in the South Texas region. I also oversee a group of appraisers and evaluators within the region. I joined Capital Farm Credit in 2018.
Agricultural properties I have valued include farm land, farming operations, ranch/cattle operations, recreational properties, hunting lodges, dairies, fertilizer mixing/manufacturing, ag-chem application businesses, meat & poultry processing, packing sheds (citrus and vegetable), frozen food processing, cotton gins, turf grass farms, honey bee operations, grain storage, refrigerated warehouses, bakeries, a citrus juicing plant, nurseries, and 3 large vertically-integrated citrus production operations in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas representing 40% of the Texas market.
I have more than 30 years' experience as a commercial real estate appraiser. Prior to joining Capital Farm Credit, I worked in the Dallas office of American Appraisal, an international asset valuation firm. I have also worked as an independent fee appraiser in the Texas markets of Austin, Dallas, and the Rio Grande Valley.
I have a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Economics conferred by Texas A&M University. I am active in the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers (ASFMRA) and am working toward an ARA designation.
