Hotel and Travel Information

July 20-23, 2026 | Skamania Lodge, Stevenson, WA

Reservations

A block of rooms has been reserved at Skamania Lodge. Call the hotel directly at 844.432.4748 by THURSDAY, JUNE 18 to make your reservations or use link to reserve online. Participants must use this link when booking online to receive the FCCS group rate. To ensure you receive the group rate when calling, please identify yourself as part of the FCCS program.

Room rate: $299 for single/double occupancy and is subject to applicable state and local taxes. Taxes are subject to change without notice.

All reservations received after the cut-off date will be accepted on a space or rate available basis. The rate will be available three days pre and post the conference dates if made prior to the cutoff date, based on availability.

Resort Amenities Fee

$20/night and includes on-site self-parking.

Cancellation Policy

All reservations must be guaranteed by check or a major credit card. Reservations canceled within 72 hours of arrival are subject to a cancellation fee of one night’s room and tax (currently 11%).

Guest Package Deadline: Thursday, June 18

Guests are welcome to attend some functions at the Lewis & Clark Leadership Experience. Attendees may bring one (1) guest and the guest must be added to the attendee’s registration as advance bookings and badges are required at the events. If you do not purchase the guest package at the time you register and later decide to bring a guest, you will need to update your registration record with the guest package purchase and add your guest’s name before the deadline. The guest package is $175 and includes:

• Group welcome reception (Day 1)
• Admission and transportation to and from Beacon Rock State Park (Day 2)
• Group dining at Skamania Lodge (Day 2)
• No other meals or functions are included.

Transportation

Skamania Lodge is just 50 minutes from Portland, Oregon. The hotel is easily accessible by ground transportation and is serviced from most major cities by Portland International Airport (PDX).

On-Airport Rental Car pickup and drop-off is located on level 1 of the short-term parking garage. For drop-off, follow signs on the lower roadway for Rental Cars. For pickup, proceed past baggage claim to the tunnel and take the first elevator bank to level 1.

Ride Sharing
Uber, Lyft, and taxis are not recommended by the hotel due to long wait times and limited availability for the return trip.

Rental Cars
National Car Rental, Alamo Car Rental and Enterprise Rent-a-Car provide corporate and personal discounts to the Farm Credit System and Member Cooperatives, all in a single website. Attire/Footwear: Attire is Casual (jeans, shorts, and sneakers, as appropriated by your organization’s dress code) during the program and Smart Casual (a polished take on a relaxed look) for the group dinner. Appropriate clothing for the elements is strongly suggested as you will be transitioning between indoor classroom instruction and outdoor activities daily. Hats, gloves, umbrellas, raincoats, and heavy layers for the cooler months and hats, sunglasses, shorts, and breathable fabrics for the warmer, summer months are recommended. Kayaking the Gorge Gear List: Please consider the following gear list when preparing for your session’s Kayaking the Gorge experiential activity:

• Footwear that is strapped to the feet and can get wet
  • Boat shoes, tennis shoes, water shoes all work well.
  • No flip flops or bare feet.
• Non-cotton top(s)
  • Short sleeve top
  • Sun shirt to protect from the sun and as another layer during cooler temperatures.
  • Pullover/outer shell as a top layer once off the water and in cooler temperatures.
• Non-cotton bottom(s)
  • Swim shorts/running shorts or capri pants
  • Nylon/quick drying pants
• Rain/wind jacket
• Hat, sunglasses with tether
• Sunscreen/bug spray
• Water bottle/water-resistant snacks
• Small bag to put all items in and store at the boathouse

Medical Conditions: The Lewis & Clark: A New Way Forward Leadership Experience incorporates indoor classroom instruction and outdoor activities daily. If anyone has a medical condition that may need to be addressed while out in the field, please make your facilitator and instructor aware of these concerns.

Participant Code of Conduct: During the course of the program participants will be engaged in discussions surrounding battlefield leadership in relation to today's business leadership strategies. It is the intention of FCCS and program faculty to maintain a space that encourages respectful listening, open discussion, and the free sharing of ideas. Each attendee is to treat others' opinions with respect and dignity, creating a space for open and honest sharing of ideas, opinions, and dialogue.
