FCCS is proud to announce that its Risk Management and Insurance Services (RMIS) team has been named Best Group Captive Manager at the Captive Review Awards USA 2026 — one of the most respected recognition programs in the U.S. captive insurance industry.

The award recognizes group captive managers that have demonstrated exceptional expertise in structuring, administering, and optimizing group captive programs, with evidence of innovation, financial stewardship, risk management capabilities, and the ability to deliver outstanding value to members. FCCS was selected from a field of six finalists, and was the only boutique firm among them, competing alongside some of the largest and most well-resourced captive management organizations in the country.

A Program Built for Farm Credit, Recognized on a National Stage

The Farm Credit Captive Insurance Company, managed by the RMIS team at FCCS since its founding in 1988, serves all 69 Farm Credit institutions operating across all 50 states. For Farm Credit institutions, this recognition is more than an industry accolade. It is confirmation that their self-insurance program is being managed at the highest level — with the discipline, expertise, and member-first focus that the program has always demanded.

Program Highlights

Under FCCS's management, the Farm Credit Captive has achieved results that set it apart in the captive insurance landscape:

• Underwriting capacity grown from approximately $26.5 million to $340 million over three years – a nearly thirteenfold increase – with additional capacity planned
• Coverage expanded from 15 to 30 lines, providing members with stability when commercial markets could not
• Substantial capital retained within the Farm Credit System — savings that would have otherwise gone to commercial insurers, and that instead stay where they belong: with member institutions
• Significant growth in surplus over the past three years, driven by disciplined underwriting and conservative reserving
• A 10-year loss ratio of approximately 55%, reflecting consistent, principled risk management
• An AM Best financial strength rating of "A" sustained for more than 20 consecutive years — among the most uncommon achievements in the captive insurance world
