AI Peer Group

You're not the only association figuring out AI. The AI Peer Group is where Farm Credit practitioners compare real implementation experience, share tools and practices, find opportunities to collaborate, and walk away with tools they didn't have to build alone.

Join the AI Peer Group

Mission

Accelerate practical, responsible AI adoption across the System through cross-association peer learning, shared governance synthesis, and selective expert engagement.

What the Group Does

Share implementation experience
Real cases and real constraints: what worked and what didn’t, across associations.

Share governance practice:
Policies, vendor terms, and exam readiness as members have actually applied them. Board and executive-level governance work goes to the AI Governance Workgroup.

Evaluate vendors & tooling
Compare tools and terms so no one association negotiates alone.

Produce reusable artifacts
Durable outputs the whole System can pick up and use.

WHAT WE'RE NOT - This group is not a forecasting body, an academic seminar, or a space for vendor pitches.

Who's in the Room

Open to every Farm Credit System entity: one primary representative per association, plus up to one secondary.

C-suite and director-level practitioners with active responsibility for AI implementation, governance, or strategy. Now expanded to operations, marketing, L&D, legal, and finance where AI work is live.

Roles Represented: CIO · CTO · CDO · CRO · COO · CFO · CSO · Director of Innovation

What members commit to

  • Attend the in-person session and one other working session each year
  • Share at least one artifact a year: a case study, policy excerpt, or vendor evaluation
  • Designate an internal teammate as a continuity partner

2026 cadence

Q3 2026 — Working Session (Virtual)

A half-day on a single theme: cross-System vendor leverage and AI implementation patterns.

Oct 13–15 — IT Symposium 2026 Session (In person · Austin, TX)

Peer-led case studies by association size, an outside expert keynote, and a working session on next-year priorities.

Q4 2026 — Year-End Synthesis (Virtual)

Each association shares an AI update. Leadership transitions. The year’s artifacts are reviewed.

What it produces

Annual Synthesis Artifact
“Cross-Association AI Implementation Patterns 2026,” sourced from the year’s sessions and sharing.

AI Vocabulary
A System-wide reference, refreshed annually for agentic systems, multimodal models, and current regulation.

AI Policy Library
A cross-association policy library, refreshed and extended each year by member contributions.
