Securing and managing property loan portfolios just got easier with Passkey Partner Acres’ powerful database platform, now enhanced with a new Layer Library that offers powerful, data-driven insights to support customer prospecting, property valuations and portfolio management.
Acres’ cloud-based solution gathers data from internal silos, replacing paper documentation and maps and delivering an integrated view that enables loan officers, appraisers, risk management and leadership to identify new business opportunities and manage the overall portfolio safely.
“Many associations use an offline approach with individuals manually searching county records and maintaining their own data, which means that reporting and analysis is reliant on multiple people updating and sharing their data,” says Ben Maddox, Chief Strategy Officer with Acres. “Acres aggregates data from multiple internal sources, so everyone involved in the loan process has access to the information to help solicit, secure and manage their organization’s property loans.”
Enhancing this internal data, Acres’ proprietary database includes a plethora of external information:
To support prospecting, Acres provides lists of landowners by acres owned and number of parcels, which combined with searchable mortgage data helps inform prospect outreach plans.
Appraisal teams can access historical sales data for the most accurate valuations in the speediest time. Available data includes crop plantings by acre for the past ten years, including yields and soil information. An AI-enhanced mapping tool replaces manual land surveys with instantly available maps that delineate the legal boundaries of collateral property.
Portfolio and risk management are supported with the new “Layer Library,” which offers multiple data overlays to the organization’s portfolio to assess issues like natural hazards, water regulations and even new zoning and legislation around land use.
“In addition to the organization’s data and our Layer Library, clients can also import any other third-party data set to empower their portfolio analysis,” says Ben. “For example, Farm Credit clients today are increasingly mapping non-agricultural influences on the value of the properties they’re financing.”
Acres is currently implemented at ten Farm Credit associations of all sizes, ranging from $2 billion to $30+ billion. Unlike some technology solutions, Acres can be implemented in one week as it sits on top of other systems rather than needing to be fully integrated. The platform is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant, with full data privacy controls to meet banking requirements.
