FCCS Strengthens Risk and Insurance Team

FCCS is pleased to welcome two members to the Risk Management and Insurance Services team, deepening our expertise and strengthening our ability to deliver support and services to Farm Credit while managing the Captive insurance company.

Meg Fitzpatrick is FCCS’ Field Cyber Risk Consultant, a new position created to enhance our in-house cyber expertise and provide clients with expert cyber insight and support. In her role, Meg will help Farm Credit organizations assess their cyber risk exposure and ensure they have the appropriate safeguards in place.

Before joining FCCS, Meg provided much the same services to Farm Credit clients through her role as a vice president with Marsh, the Captive’s cyber insurance coverage broker. Prior to this, Meg spent 18 years with the United States Army, including serving for many years in Army cyber intelligence. Meg is also a lifelong farmer.

“After a career in the Army, I’m looking forward to pursuing another patriotic mission that’s critical to the country and our communities,” says Meg. “I’ll be taking the cyber skills I honed in the Army and the experience from cyber consulting and applying them to Farm Credit’s unique risks and environment.”

Helen Reid has joined FCCS as a Senior Account Executive leading a team of risk management experts who answer critical customer questions regarding the Captive’s insurance offerings. She’ll also be a point of contact for clients, vendors, insurance brokers and companies, attorneys and other vendors, as well as employees throughout Farm Credit.

For eight years prior to joining FCCS, Helen was an account executive focused on commercial lines with Mountain West Insurance & Financial Services; before that, she served three years as a vice president with Green Star Financial. Earlier in her career, Helen spent six years as an assistant vice president and commercial lender with Community Banks of Colorado.

“My background spans both insurance and commercial banking, including agricultural loans, so I have an understanding of both Farm Credit’s and borrowers’ perspectives and can serve as a resource to bridge the gap between members who are agricultural bankers and their insurance needs,” says Helen.

Meg and Helen complete a dedicated team of insurance and risk management professionals focused on Farm Credit’s complex needs. For more information about the risk management and insurance programs and services they provide, visit the FCCS website.
