Nominate Your 2023 Accelerator of the Year!

Faced with economic headwinds, striving to reduce costs while increasing service to members, and investing in technology and human capital – every cooperative operates in a quickly changing and increasingly demanding world. Exceptional individuals step up to take on projects, lead initiatives and make game-changing impacts on their teams and organizations.

FCCS is now seeking these key individuals as nominees for the 2023 Accelerator of the Year Award, which recognizes the person who has made significant contributions to advancing their organization, accelerating change and fostering growth.

“The business environment continues to change, and faster than ever before. Responding effectively takes true accelerators to help their organizations overcome challenges, innovate better solutions and position for the new future,” says Chad Moller, FCCS CEO. “The FCCS Accelerator of the Year Award recognizes individuals who are stepping up and fostering change in their cooperatives.”

Last year’s Accelerator of the Year was Kelly Miller, the Director of AgTech for Compeer Financial. Kelly led the team that grew the organization’s AgTech Financing business unit’s revenue 2,000% over the previous year, increasing revenue from $15 million in 2021 to $400 million in 2022.

Nominations for the Accelerator of the Year can be submitted through January 31, 2024. The winner will be announced in April, and will receive $1,000 and recognition on FCCS’ digital media channels and at FCCS’ 2024 Conferences.

“While most success is built on strong teamwork, it also takes inspired and inspiring individuals to motivate and demonstrate game-changing efforts,” says Jean Cantey Segal, FCCS Chief Learning Officer. “The Accelerator of the Year Award recognizes these accelerators who rise to the challenges and spur others to do the same.”

Award Process

• Visit the FCCS Accelerator of the Year Award website to access the nomination form. Please submit only one nomination for the individual you believe best represents the Accelerator of the Year.

• Nominations will be accepted until midnight on January 31, 2024.

• The FCCS award committee will review the nominations and select the Accelerator of the Year based on the information provided.

• The Accelerator of the Year will be announced in April.
