For the second consecutive year, FCCS has earned certification as a Great Place to Work, signifying the exceptional engagement of its employees and satisfaction across 20 key organizational parameters, which in turn fuels their dedication to client success.
The Great Place to Work organization has assessed workplace culture at more than 21,000 companies with 20+ million employees. The certification process includes a 60-question employee survey that covers 20 key pillars of organizational culture.
FCCS employees scored the company even more favorably this year than last, delivering an outstanding 93% employee average favorability rating across all questions, up from 90% last year. An even greater jump, from 93% to 98%, came in the summary question, “Taking everything into account, I would say this is a great place to work.”
“Last year we benchmarked very favorably against comparable businesses, and we’re very proud to receive this reaffirmation of our leadership and our culture with even stronger results this year,” says Chad Moller, FCCS President and CEO. “Workplaces are dynamic, so we know we can’t rest on our laurels. We need to keep gathering insight from our employees and making improvements where we fall a little short, and this year’s Great Place to Work results reflect that commitment.”
Among the unilaterally exceptional results, the most dramatic improvement came in the area of professional development, which this year achieved a 100% favorability rating compared with last year’s 88%. Three other areas also earned 100% favorability this year.

“After last year’s Great Place to Work survey, we placed a strong focus on employee development, which was our lowest scoring parameter, and made impactful changes at both the organizational and individual levels,” says Jessica Ricciardi, VP of Human Resources for FCCS. “Survey fatigue is often cited as a concern when soliciting employee feedback, but we’ve found that our employees welcome our quarterly outreach because they know we’ll follow up with action.” [Read more about FCCS’ organizational Competency Model that now guides employee development.]
In addition to the Great Place to Work survey, each year FCCS employees participate in the Farm Credit System Employee Engagement Survey and two shorter pulse surveys covering narrower topics.
“Our clients drive us to be our best and achieving that starts internally with an honest look at how we’re doing and a commitment to making changes,” says Chad. “The Great Place to Work results make clear the pride our team takes in consistently delivering high-quality and valuable services and the appreciation for the culture we’ve built together.”
FCCS’ focus on its own organizational culture aligns closely with the services and solutions it provides:
Employee engagement surveys: Client-specific and FCCS’ annual national engagement surveys provide actionable insights into current-state of organizational culture and identify areas for improvement; FCCS consultants help interpret results and develop action plans.
Leadership development programs: Build management and leadership skills to enhance employee engagement and strengthen team and organizational culture.
Succession management and planning: Give employees peace of mind that strong leaders are recognized with promotion, and careful consideration is given to their replacements.
Organizational development consulting: Targeted consulting helps assess and develop programs to improve organizational culture.
