On the Road: The Farm Credit Fleet Program

Powered by FCCS and the Passkey Program

For more than 20 years, the Farm Credit Fleet Program—managed by FCCS’ Passkey Affinity Program—has helped organizations across the System secure the best possible deals on fleet vehicles. Fleet vehicles are company-owned or leased vehicles used by employees for business purposes, such as traveling to see customers. The Farm Credit System maintains fleet vehicles to ensure that teams have reliable, consistent transportation that projects a professional presence.

By uniting our System-wide volume and purchasing power, we’re able to negotiate exceptional incentives from major manufacturers like Ford, GM, Stellantis, and Toyota. Because many Farm Credit entities tend to order similar vehicles—like half-ton trucks—we’re especially successful in securing top-tier discounts on high-demand models.

FCCS acts as an impartial third party on behalf of the entire Farm Credit System, working closely with account managers at each manufacturer to build strong relationships and secure competitive incentives. We manage the flow of updates and information, ensuring everyone involved in fleet decisions is in the loop. With nearly 5,000 vehicles across the Farm Credit fleet, our collective influence is substantial—and growing.

Each summer, manufacturers begin releasing incentives for the upcoming model year. By the time you read this, we’ll likely have already received some updates. While we negotiate the incentives, one common question we hear is whether FCCS places the vehicle orders. The answer is no—ordering is best handled by a Fleet Management Company. We partner with trusted names like Compeer, Farm Credit Leasing, and Enterprise Fleet Management to help you obtain the best pricing and expert support.

Some organizations also work with local dealers, which can be effective if the dealer understands fleet sales. Still, ordering from the factory through a Fleet Management Company remains the most reliable way to maximize value. If you need an introduction, we’re happy to connect you!

And there’s more good news: the post-COVID supply chain delays have largely resolved. Where wait times once stretched for months, most fleet vehicle orders are now being delivered in just 6–8 weeks.

In addition to delivering savings on vehicle pricing, FCCS brings added value through our Risk Management and Insurance Services (RMIS) team and the Farm Credit Captive Insurance Company. We support Farm Credit institutions in managing fleet-related risk and protecting their assets through tailored insurance solutions, streamlined claims handling, and proactive loss prevention strategies. By aligning purchasing decisions with risk management best practices, we help institutions make smarter, more cost-effective choices—strengthening both operational efficiency and long-term financial resilience.

At FCCS, we strive to bring strategic solutions to the entire Farm Credit System. Our Passkey program and it’s 20+ years of expertise managing the fleet program are a wonderful example of how we serve bring value to the System.
