FCCS Names 2023 Accelerator of the Year

FCCS is pleased to announce Capital Farm Credit’s Allyson Tjoelker as the 2023 FCCS Accelerator of the Year, an award that recognizes a leader who has made significant contributions to advancing their organization, accelerating change and fostering growth.

Tjoelker is Senior Vice President of YBS and Mission Lending for Capital Farm Credit (CFC) in Texas. She was nominated for the Accelerator Award by Jennifer Thomson, the organization’s Chief Administrative Officer in recognition of her success in building the organization’s robust Young, Beginning and Small Farmer program. In 2023, this included launching multiple education and training programs as well as a YBS conference, and resulted in almost doubling CFC’s YBS loans. Tjoelker’s nomination was supported by reference letters from CFC’s Chief Lending Officer and from a grateful CFC member who is a YBS farmer.

“This award validates the priority CFC places on the next generation of farmers, and underscores the reason I was brought on to focus on our YBS program,” said Allyson. “Building the program has been an enormous undertaking involving extensive collaboration, coordination and communication, and we’ll continue to press forward in our efforts with humility and a firm commitment to having a positive impact on agriculture.”

Tjoelker joined CFC as vice president in mid-2022, and due in large part to her success in establishing CFC’s robust YBS program and the results it’s driven, was quickly promoted to her current SVP role. Prior to joining CFC, Tjoelker spent five years with the Texas A&M Foundation.

“The future of agriculture and of Farm Credit lies with the next generation of producers, and Allyson Tjoelker’s success in building Capital Farm Credit’s YBS program is impressive on its own and is also indicative of how forward-thinking organizations and committed individuals can accelerate positive change for their organizations, members and the industry,” said Chad Moller, FCCS CEO.

FCCS has also named four honorees to the Accelerator of the Year Circle of Excellence in recognition of the strength of their nominations and their contributions to accelerating their organizations.

This is the fourth year of the Accelerator of the Year award program, which is open to contributors and leaders at every level who accelerate their organization’s success. FCCS will begin accepting nominations for the 2024 Accelerator of the Year in December.
